Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of recent ED or critical care experience and EPIC proficiency.

Details

• Work in a large, high-acuity Emergency Department-Trauma unit
• 8-week assignment length with shifts scheduled 06:45-19:15
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• No block scheduling available
• May be required to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles as needed

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a larger ED setting, or critical care experience
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) required
• TNCC certification recommended, renewed every 4 years
• NIH Stroke Scale certification recommended (Group A updated yearly, Groups B-F updated every 2 years)
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver emergency nursing care within a trauma-designated Emergency Department
• Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
• Candidates should discuss assignment extension with their manager approximately 45 days before the end date
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
• First-time travelers may be considered
