Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ER) in Tupelo, MS. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be required to float to units within your competencies. We are seeking dedicated professionals who are ready to make a difference in patient care.

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of critical conditions. You will work 12-hour evening shifts from 12 PM to 12 AM, with a patient ratio of 1:4 (1:6 if ER holds are waiting for inpatient beds). This position requires flexibility and availability, especially during weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage critical care drips and perform EKG interpretation
• Start IVs and manage ventilators
• Conduct lab draws and blood culture collections
• Perform intubations and arterial line management
• Provide care for patients with trauma, cardiac issues, strokes, and respiratory conditions

Requirements:

• Current Mississippi RN license
• At least 2 years of recent ER experience
• Prior travel experience is required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Fingerprinting process must begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• Must not have worked perm or per diem for NMHS within the last 12 months
• Must be able to work on 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, or 1/1

All compliance documents are due 7 days before the start date. Orientation will be held on 11/18 for ER RNs. Please note that scrubs are navy blue and are not provided.
