Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week available

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency nursing care in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment, with a significant portion of patients consisting of admitted and ED holding patients
  • Administer medications including IV medications in accordance with the seven medication rights; document and communicate all clinical findings accurately
  • Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 in a Level I Trauma, acute care setting
  • Float as required to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; optional floating to Pediatric ED; potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma based on experience
  • Work weekends as scheduled; weekend nights are defined as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • Utilize Cerner for all clinical charting and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license (state license may be pending at time of submission)
  • TNCC certification required prior to submission
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required (NIH may pend until compliance document due date)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (1.5 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • RQI certifications are not accepted — standard certification equivalents required
  • Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers with 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered
  • Level I Trauma center experience preferred
  • Familiarity with high-volume admitted patient and ED holding workflows
  • Experience with Cerner electronic health records
