Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a VA or compact RN license and TNCC certification.

Details

• Emergency Department with 24 beds plus a 5-bed fast track area
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 13-week seasonal travel assignment on overnight shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• No floating required
• Every other weekend required on an as-needed basis with no on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS, ENPC, and CPI
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Fast-paced ED environment with variable staffing based on patient volume and arrival patterns
• Collaborate with techs and paramedics as part of the care team
• Navy scrubs required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
