Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring TNCC, ACLS, PALS, and Level 1 trauma/comprehensive stroke center experience.

Details

  • Work in a 38-bed Emergency Department including trauma bays, burn room, psych room, and vertical treatment area
  • Certified chest pain center, comprehensive stroke center, Level 1 trauma center, and accredited burn unit
  • Staffing includes RNs, advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries with a dedicated charge nurse always available
  • Patient ratios vary based on acuity and volume
  • Standard emergency and trauma equipment used
  • Meditech EMR used
  • Self-scheduling model in place
  • 13-week assignment with 7A-7P shift schedule
  • 4 weekend shifts required per month
  • No routine floating, though cross-training to a sister facility (Medical City Frisco) may be requested

Requirements

  • Active TX RN license or compact license eligible
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
  • SAMA or CPI certification required (facility will assist with 30-day grace period if not already held)
  • ENPC certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department setting
  • Best suited for candidates who are easygoing, adaptable, and maintain a patient-first philosophy
  • Royal blue scrubs required, branded attire preferred
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
