Unit Information

The Emergency Department features:

• Number of Beds: 101
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 typically; up to 7:1 on behavioral health holds
• Support Staff: Includes techs and unit clerks available days and nights
• Documentation System: Cerner

Responsibilities

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• Providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrating teamwork and collaboration within the department
• Adhering to hospital protocols for patient safety and experience
• Interacting positively with diverse patient populations

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center is preferred
• Must possess the following certifications before the start date:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • CPI
  • NIHSS
  • ENPC (to be completed within 90 days of hire)
• Strong interpersonal skills with a teamwork mentality
• Flexibility to work across all areas of the Emergency Department

Schedule Requirements
