Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 40+ bed unit requiring TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications on evening shift.

Details

  • Emergency Department unit with 40+ beds and 120+ staff members
  • Patient ratio of 4:1 (3 rooms and 1 hall bed during high volume)
  • Team includes CNC, Team Leads, RNs, Advanced Paramedics, EDTs, MHSC, and Secretary staff
  • Equipment used includes cardiac monitors, EKGs, ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO Drills, and Lifepak
  • Meditech EMR used
  • Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment
  • 48-hour guaranteed hours option available

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI
  • No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Two professional references required for Missouri assignments

Additional Information

  • Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring/interpretation
  • Adaptability and strong teamwork skills required
  • High-pressure or previous medical experience preferred
  • Outgoing, positive personality well-suited for this fast-paced environment
  • Scrub dress code: gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms for RNs
  • Appropriate colored t-shirts permitted under a nursing scrub jacket or hospital-approved jacket
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
