Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Job Description

The Registered Nurse - Emergency Department is responsible for providing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including infants and adults, as well as managing patients who are held within the department. This role requires a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment typical of a large Level 1 Trauma Center.

Specific Work Responsibilities

• Care for Emergency Department patients (infants and adults).
• Manage ED holds (boarding patients).

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications

• Current and active Ohio RN license.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.

Network Access and Applications

• Epic electronic health records system.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment typical of a large Level 1 Trauma Center.

Shift Information

• 7 pm - 7 am, 12-hour shifts.
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required.

Minimum Years of Experience

1 year of nursing experience is required.

• PALS
