Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience in an Emergency Department, ER, or acute care hospital setting
• ADN required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS
• De-escalation training required (HWC, CPI, or MAB)
• Strong clinical skills in trauma, resuscitation, IV therapy, IV drips, oxygen support, blood products, and basic telemetry/EKG
• Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with strong multitasking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Psych ER experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups
• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Support care for common emergency diagnoses, including COPD, DKA, sepsis, cardiac emergencies, neurologic emergencies, and stroke
• Manage trauma, resuscitation, IV placement, IV drips, oxygen support, and blood product administration
• Monitor patients using telemetry and EKG as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to maintain efficient patient flow in a busy emergency department
• Float as needed to support departmental needs
• Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and a team-oriented approach in a high-energy clinical environment
