Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a GA or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

  • Emergency Services department within a hospital setting
  • 13-week travel assignment
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
  • 5 positions available

Requirements

  • Active GA or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • NIHSS or Stroke Certification preferred
  • Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP) required
  • COVID vaccination/boosters preferred
  • DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel
  • Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition and diagnostic results
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
  • Knowledgeable of EMTALA regulations and reporting requirements for child/adult abuse
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
