Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC certification and prior ER experience.

Details

• Work in a 9-bed Emergency Department
• 4:1 patient-to-RN ratio
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 12-hour shifts from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
• Rotating weekends required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the Emergency Department specialty
• Proficiency in triage, ESI, emergency assessment, medication administration, and management of critical patients required
• Trauma and stroke care experience preferred
• Moderate sedation experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform triage, medication administration, and moderate sedation
• Perform IV insertion, EKG, cardiac monitoring, and trauma and emergency stabilization
• Strong critical thinking and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment required
• Calm under pressure with good communication skills
• Navy blue scrub attire required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
