Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room, Emergency Department, or acute care nursing experience required
• Current RN license and eligibility to work in Tennessee
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI
• Experience with critical care drips, procedural sedation, ESI triage, and code response
• Preferred experience with STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and trauma nursing
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Emergency Department patients across a wide range of acuity levels
• Perform triage, patient assessment, monitoring, and ongoing reassessment in the ER
• Support critical interventions including codes, intubation assistance, chest tube insertion, and splinting
• Administer and monitor critical care drips and procedural sedation as ordered
• Work closely with physicians, ED techs, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver efficient, compassionate care
• Document accurately in Meditech EDM and maintain clear, timely clinical charting
• Promote a positive patient experience through teamwork, professionalism, and responsive emergency nursing care
• Use department equipment safely, including rapid infusers and Glidescopes when needed
