Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | 4 weekend shifts per month required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department setting, including certified chest pain, comprehensive stroke, Level 1 trauma, and accredited burn cases
  • Work within a 38-bed emergency department that includes trauma bays, a burn room, a psych room, and a vertical treatment area
  • Utilize standard emergency and trauma equipment and document care using Meditech EMR
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries under variable staffing models based on census and acuity
  • Maintain a patient-first philosophy while adapting to fluctuating patient ratios and volume
  • Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility to cross-train at a sister facility if needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active Texas RN license or compact license eligibility
  • Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
  • SAMA, CPI, or equivalent de-escalation certification (30-day grace period may be provided if not currently held)
  • Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with 4 weekend shifts per month

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
  • Experience in Level 1 trauma, stroke, or burn care environments
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR
