Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring ACLS, PALS, and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Services department
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Accepts local candidates

Requirements

  • Active GA or compact RN license
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • NIHSS or Stroke Certification preferred
  • BVP (MAB) Workplace Violence Prevention training required
  • COVID vaccination/boosters preferred

Additional Information

  • Deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
  • Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical condition, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
  • Knowledgeable of EMTALA regulations and reporting requirements for child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and hospital social worker
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
