Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC, ENPC, and extensive trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis experience.

Details

  • -bed Emergency Department in a hospital setting
  • Patient ratios of 1-5 depending on acuity
  • Uses advanced monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines
  • EMR is Meditech, transitioning to Expanse in August 2026
  • Performs procedures including thoracotomy, arterial lines, and MTP
  • 3P-3A shift schedule over a 13-week assignment
  • Required to work alternating weekends
  • Floating to two free-standing EDs if needed

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required, TX or compact license needed
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI with TIC
  • NRP and STABLE certifications are a plus
  • Advanced critical thinking skills required
  • Extensive experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis required
  • Adult and pediatric ED experience preferred
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care to a high-acuity adult and pediatric patient population
  • Work alongside a team including CNC, RNs, PCT/EMT, and unit secretaries
  • Must be flexible, accountable, responsible, and a strong team player
  • Royal blue scrubs required per facility dress code policy
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
