Responsibilities

• Provide critical care and assess patients' needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects.
• Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations with a thorough knowledge of nursing principles.
• Ensure patient safety by recognizing safety issues and utilizing lifts for safe patient movement.
• Function effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills.
• Exhibit leadership by prioritizing and delegating tasks, and potentially assuming charge nurse duties.
• Maintain excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and become defibrillation certified within six months of employment.
• Achieve IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification during orientation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Current NYS RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with MEDITECH required.
• Travel experience preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Critical Care and charge experience preferred.
