Trusted Talent is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Urbana, Illinois.
Assume responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame, utilizing nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources.
Perform all responsibilities and duties required by the unit specific to the scope of service.
Implement procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of care provided to ensure integration of information for use by the healthcare team.
Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop appropriate plan of care based on unit standards and patient needs.
Implement the plan of care, interventions, and procedures.
Modify plan of care based on continuous evaluation.
Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting safety hazards and incidents.
Communicate with others directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues.
Offer constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers and confer with colleagues to expand knowledge base.
Identify own learning needs and take initiative to begin appropriate solutions.
Fulfill all requirements of departmental competencies.
Department Specific Functions:
Implement procedures and theories specific to emergency department nursing.
Perform patient assessment and develop care plan in collaboration with providers, family, and patient.
Execute plan of care and nursing interventions.
Modify care plan based on continuous assessment.
Ensure patient and staff safety through appropriate interventions, adhering to safety standards, and correcting/reporting hazards.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, visitors, and families to promote a healthy and healing work environment.
Provide feedback to peers to aid in professional development, increase knowledge base, and problem-solve.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records/documentation.
