General Information
Unit Specifics:
  • Number of Beds : 101
  • Patient Ratios : 4:1 typically- medical, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
  • Unit staffing description-  Techs available- work in cardiac monitoring unit and the internal processing area, triage, Unit clerks days and nights
  • Type of equipment : baxter pumps, Client monitors
  •  Documentation system: Cerner
  • Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend, can't commit to block scheduling, scheduling must meet the needs of the dept.
  • Floating policy: No floating outside of the ED but must be open to floating to all sections in the ED.
  • Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, Respectful behavior, Pt Experience to each patient, Boards updated with info and pt updated throughout visit
Hospital Specifics-
  • Certifications: ACLS before starting dateon hire
  • BLS before starting dateon hire
  •  PALS before starting date on hire
  • TNCC before starting date on hire
  • CPI before starting dateon hire
  • NIHSS before starting dateon hire
  • ENPC within 90 days of hire
Hiring profile
  • Requested Skill Set: 2 years' experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume > 100,000 visit ED. Previous HCA experience preferred.
  • Must have: 2 years' experience as a nurse with at least 1-year experience in ER setting, teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time. Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED.
