Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ER) in Montgomery, AL. This contract position offers a unique opportunity for both first-time and experienced travelers. If you have at least 2 years of critical care experience, particularly in a Level II ER, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients with multi-system trauma, STEMI, stroke, CHF, COPD, GI, GU, OB/GYN, pediatrics, and psychiatric conditions.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 in the ER, 1:5 for Med-Surg holds, and 1:3 for ICU holds.
• Perform necessary skills including trach care, vent care, ICU drip care, chest tube management, and more.

Requirements:

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Secure/CPI, NIHSS, TNCC.
• Experience with Cerner or EPIC is preferred.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in critical care (ICU, ER, MS hold) with the most recent year in a Level II ER.

Support on the Unit:

• CNA Ratio: 1:12
• Charge nurse available
• Phlebotomy support available until 0300
• IV/VAT Team present

Scheduling and Orientation:

• Weekend rotation: Every other or 4 weekend days per month if on block schedule.
• Orientation for new travelers includes 24 hours of classroom time and 24 hours on the unit.
• Shift times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, 3p-3a.

Please note that holiday scheduling may include one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy, and time off can be approved up to 7 days, excluding blackout dates.
