Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Center position requiring TNCC certification and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

  • Acute care setting in a busy Emergency Center with approximately 180-200 patient visits per day
  • Patient population spans pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma, neuro, and ortho cases as a CVA center
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
  • 12-hour evening shifts, 3p-3a, with a 48-hour guaranteed work week
  • Charge nurse on every shift with support from 5-6 nurse aides/paramedics per shift
  • Unit includes a 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psych, plus safety sitters and security support
  • 24/7 dedicated respiratory therapist and central monitoring tech for tele patients
  • Nurses perform own lab draws and start their own IVs
  • Uses MEDITECH 6.15 EMR
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Floor-specific orientation consists of two shifts

Requirements

  • Active RN license (GA state or Compact) required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI certifications required, along with ASLS or NIHSS
  • Minimum of 5 years of RN experience required
  • At least one prior travel assignment required
  • Hands-on MEDITECH charting experience required
  • Driver's license address must be listed for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of acute and trauma cases
  • Complete Orientation Requirement Training (ORT) during the first week of assignment unless otherwise approved by EC leadership
  • Caribbean Blue scrubs required
  • Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for placement
  • Not eligible for placement if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months
  • Auto lunch deductions apply
