Job Summary
Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist in Orange Park, Florida. This position involves supporting the units advanced cardiac procedures, including ablations and device implantations, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. The role requires working every other weekend and holidays in rotation, contributing to a high-quality cardiovascular care environment.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification as Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or registered radiologic technologist (RT R) with eligibility to sit for the RCIS exam.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced skills in scrub procedures for ablations and device implants; ability to monitor and pace ablation cases.
  • Procedures performed on unit: Ablations (radiofrequency and cryo), device implants, Watchman, and Micra procedures.
  • Certifications: RCIS or RCES, or RT(R), or eligible to sit for the RCIS.
  • Documentation system: Meditech, MacLab/Meditech.
  • Unit specifics: Support in prep and recovery areas as needed; support in CCL if desired.
  • Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs provided.
  • Additional information: The department features newer equipment and technology, with a dedicated team led by an engaged physician champion. No on-call schedule required for electrophysiology but opportunity to pick up shifts in the cardiac catheterization lab if desired.
