Job Summary
The Electrophysiology Technologist will be based in a healthcare facility, specializing in cardiovascular procedures related to electrophysiology. This role involves supporting physicians during invasive cardiac, peripheral diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures, including pacemaker placements and circulatory support device management. The position requires collaboration with the procedure team to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program, Radiologic Technologist program, or an associate degree in Applied Science (AAS); AHA Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within three months of employment; successful passing of RCIS exam by Certification Corporation International (CCI) or Radiologic Technologist License within one year of hire. Experience: 0 years.
- Schedule: Shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, including on-call responsibilities as required.
- Responsibilities include assisting with all phases of invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures, operating sterile equipment, managing vascular access, interpreting cardiac arrhythmias, calibrating and testing monitoring equipment, and maintaining clinical cardiovascular information systems.
- Skills required include knowledge of electrophysiology intra-procedure mapping, ablation, implant devices, sterile scrub techniques, and proficiency with digital cine technologies.
