Job Summary:
Electrophysiology (EP) Technician position available in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This role involves supporting cardiac electrophysiology procedures within a specialized unit. The technician will work closely with medical staff to assist during EP cases, including pacemaker, ICD, ablation, LAAO, and cardioversion procedures, in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Two or more years of electrophysiology (EP) technician experience, RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist), RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist), or RT (Radiologic Technologist) certification, and previous cardiac cath lab experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pacemakers, ICDs, ablations, LAAO, and cardioversions
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other units if applicable
  • Additional Information: The unit consists of 12 beds with a monthly volume of approximately 75 cases. The EMR system used is Cerner. The scope of the role includes scrub and monitor responsibilities during EP cases, primarily focusing on procedures such as Pacemakers, ICDs, Ablations, LAAO, and Cardioversions. The position is vacant due to internal vacancy. This opportunity begins promptly and is scheduled to last for approximately 13 weeks. Candidate review may consider clinicians with pending state licensure.
