Della Infotech Inc is seeking a travel EEG Technician for a travel job in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced EEG Technician assignment at a leading regional medical center in Lafayette, Louisiana. The technician will perform high-quality inpatient and outpatient electroencephalogram (EEG) studies while working closely with neurologists and the neurophysiology team.
Responsibilities
Perform routine, portable, and outpatient EEG studies.
Prepare patients and explain EEG procedures.
Apply electrodes using the international 10-20 system.
Monitor patients throughout EEG testing and ensure accurate recordings.
Identify and document abnormalities during procedures.
Troubleshoot EEG equipment and maintain proper functionality.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and reports.
Work with neurologists and healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care.
Participate in rotating weekend and on-call coverage.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of EEG Technician experience
Current R.EEG.T. (ABRET) certification required
Current BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Experience performing both inpatient and outpatient EEGs
Strong communication and patient care skills
