Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Supervisor for an Emergency Department, requiring CA RN licensure, supervisory experience, and Epic proficiency.

- Emergency Department leadership role with limited bedside nursing responsibilities
- Day shift schedule, 36 hours per week, 07:00 AM-07:30 PM
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education/experience required
- Minimum 3 years of recent ER experience required, with experience within the last 3 months
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted)
- NIHSS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- No prior disciplinary action on license permitted
Additional Information
- Provides unit-based leadership in collaboration with Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff
- Supervises and directs nursing and ancillary personnel using independent judgment
- Participates in direct patient care as needed
- Leads interdisciplinary conferences with patients, families, and care teams to develop and revise care plans
- Makes patient rounds and solicits feedback to improve quality of care and patient satisfaction
- Investigates and resolves patient care and operational issues
- Fosters a culturally sensitive, patient and family-centered care environment
