Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring CA RN licensure and 2 years of ED experience.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting with 200 staffed beds
  • Emergency Department unit
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours, variable start times of 15:00 or 19:00
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • No floating between units required
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Facility may call off one shift per two-week pay period

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
  • Neurological and ICP monitoring skills required
  • Triage skills required
  • 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency department nursing care including triage and neurological monitoring
  • Solid Royal Blue scrubs required for RNs
  • Free parking available on-site
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates accepted, though a 50-mile radius rule applies for local pay rate eligibility
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-submission requests may not be granted
  • Candidates may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
