Job Summary ( ED Department ):-

  • Provide professional nursing care to a designated group of Emergency Department (ED) patients using the nursing process and current nursing trends.
     
  • Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop, implement, and modify individualized care plans based on patient and family needs.
     
  • Execute nursing interventions and procedures specific to ED nursing, ensuring all responsibilities are completed as required by the unit.
     
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care for effective communication within the healthcare team.
     
  • Monitor and evaluate patient status, continuously updating care plans as needed.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by adhering to safety standards, reporting, and correcting safety hazards/incidents.
     
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with colleagues, providers, patients, and families to promote a healthy, healing environment.
     
  • Provide constructive feedback and support for peer professional development and knowledge sharing.
     
  • Identify personal learning needs and proactively seek solutions for professional growth.
     
  • Fulfill all departmental competencies and regulatory requirements.
     
  • Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), including two 13-hour call shifts per six-week schedule, with a one-hour onsite response time.
     
  • Maintain required licensure and certifications (Illinois RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS).
     
  • Minimum education required: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) preferred.
     
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience required.
     
  • Communicate fluently in English (speak, read, write).

Med Ninjas Job ID #5104. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
