Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring IL RN licensure, ACLS, PALS, and Level 1 Trauma/Epic experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department setting
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours)
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage on a rotating basis
- On-call responsibilities include 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, with expectation to be onsite within one hour
- No block scheduling available
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to ED patients including assessment, care planning, intervention, and continuous evaluation
- Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to develop and modify individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
- Promote staff and patient safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting hazards
- Offer constructive feedback to peers to support professional development
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment longer than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning to this health system
- 30-day advance notice required to cancel an assignment once started
