Registered Nurse (RN) - ED CWR
Job Summary:
Our Emergency Department (ED) RNs are essential in providing care to patients in critical situations. They offer specialized and innovative services while being prepared to manage a wide range of emergency scenarios involving patients of all ages. ED nurses are trained to respond rapidly to various trauma situations, requiring quick and decisive action.
The ideal candidate for this position must be skilled in quickly and accurately assessing incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions, prioritizing their medical needs and injuries effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for patients in the Emergency Department, addressing emergency situations promptly.
- Assess incoming patients and prioritize treatment based on acuity and immediate needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Utilize clinical knowledge and analytical skills to perform a variety of nursing services.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel to ensure quality care and understanding.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Recent ED nursing experience (within the last six months).
- Demonstrated performance and practice level.
- Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication skills with patients and healthcare teams.
Education & Certifications:
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or a multi-state compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA certified.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certified.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Telemetry certification.
- Completion of 4 hours of CEU Contact Stroke training.
Schedule:
- 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM shifts.
- 3 shifts per week, with every other weekend and holiday participation required.
