Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with an active IL RN license and Level 1 Trauma center experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

  • Emergency Department setting within a hospital
  • Night shift schedule from 3:00PM-3:00AM, 3 shifts per week, 36 hours weekly
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
  • 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, each 13 hours with expectation to report onsite within an hour
  • A 2-week nights rotation is required for all travelers
  • No block scheduling available
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma center experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions
  • Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to develop and modify individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
  • Promote a safe environment for patients and staff by identifying and addressing safety hazards
  • Offer constructive feedback to peers to support professional development
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Contingent workers may not be continuously on assignment for more than 1 year at this health system without a 6-month break in service before returning
