Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for a night shift contract requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

  • Emergency Room department in a hospital setting
  • 8-week contract assignment
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00pm-7:00am
  • 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week period
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required (temporary license accepted if permanent license application is in process)
  • Current certifications required: CPR, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
  • Minimum 2+ years of ER experience required, with previous travel and/or per diem experience
  • 4+ years of ER experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must complete an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration, and pass an onsite EKG test during Day 1 orientation
  • Two current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge nurse in the relevant specialty area, dated within the last year
  • At least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency department nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting
  • New graduates will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
  • RTO for this 8-week contract is limited to a maximum of 3 days
