Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for a night shift contract requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications along with Epic experience.
Details
- Emergency Room setting within a hospital
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am
- Rotating weekend requirements
- Holiday coverage required as needed per department scheduling, with a minimum of 3 holidays covered between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day
- No floating required
- No on-call requirements
- 8-week contract length
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2+ years of ER experience with previous travel and/or per diem experience required
- 4+ years of experience with previous travel and/or per diem experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
- New graduates will not be considered
- 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge within the ER setting, completed within the last year
- At least one travel reference preferred
- Copies of certifications and license verification required for consideration
- Temporary licenses accepted if candidate is in process of obtaining permanent licensure with proof of application submission
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care across a variety of ER patient presentations
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from employment for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
- Maximum RTO of 3 days for this 8-week contract
- Candidates will complete a brief onsite interview with the hospital as part of the hiring process
