Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and AZ or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • 38-bed Emergency Department in a hospital setting
  • Trauma Level III certified, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
  • Uses Cerner EMR
  • Must be willing to float

Requirements

  • Active AZ or compact RN license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • NIHSS certification recommended but not required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred
  • No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking skills
  • Delegate and supervise care delivery among assigned staff as appropriate
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • Black scrubs required
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
  • RTO requests must be less than one week
  • Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
