Travel RN – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Midshift (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, 32-bed Emergency Department serving a birth-to-death patient population
  • Apply critical care thinking and strong clinical skills across a wide range of diagnoses and treatments, including strokes, STEMIs, and trauma cases
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 while utilizing critical care equipment and Cerner EHR
  • Rotate weekend shifts every other weekend and adapt to push-back hours depending on census
  • Float to other areas of the facility as needed within established competencies

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • ACLS certification required
  • PALS or ENPC certification required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Cerner EHR experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not eligible for this position
  • Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department setting
  • Clinical experience with stroke, STEMI, and trauma patient populations
  • Strong patient and family communication skills
  • Energetic, stamina-driven personality suited for a high-acuity environment
