Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a night shift position in a 29-bed Emergency Department, requiring TNCC and NIHSS certifications.

Details

  • 29-bed Emergency Department serving patients across all age groups
  • Fast-paced, high-acuity clinical setting requiring rapid decision-making and multitasking
  • Night shift schedule, 19:00-07:30
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (AHA required for BLS, ACLS, PALS)
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience required
  • 5+ years emergency nursing experience preferred
  • Previous high-volume Emergency Department experience preferred
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and critical thinking skills

Additional Information

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage according to department protocols
  • Initiate and manage emergency nursing interventions for critically ill and injured patients
  • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately
  • Assist with emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, and cardiac emergencies
  • Collaborate with physicians, EMS personnel, respiratory therapy, laboratory, radiology, and ancillary staff
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental education activities
  • Radius rule applies allowing local candidates consideration at a reduced rate
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
