Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2 years of ER experience and TNCC certification.

Details

  • 39-bed Emergency Department at an acute-care hospital
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Unit staffed with one unit secretary and 2-3 techs on the floor
  • Equipment used includes crash carts, Level One infusers, Alaris pumps, and Dash bedside cardiac monitors
  • Uses MediTech documentation system
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 4-week schedule posts 2 weeks prior to start date, preferred three 12-hour shifts per week
  • May float within the ER during capacity hold situations, rare during summer months
  • Performs procedures including chest tubes, moderate sedation, LP, laceration repair, and blood product administration

Requirements

  • Active FL or compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
  • 2 years of recent ER experience required
  • Experience assisting in intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures required
  • Strong multi-tasking, through-put focus, and teamwork skills required
  • No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Perform patient rounding every 30 minutes to 1 hour with bedside shift report
  • Black scrubs required as part of the dress code
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • First-time travelers may be considered
