Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive and focused assessments of patients presenting with emergent, urgent, or non-urgent conditions and triage using evidence-based protocols to determine acuity levels.
  • Provide rapid intervention and stabilization for patients experiencing medical, surgical, traumatic, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with hospital policy and provider orders; operate and monitor equipment such as cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and point-of-care testing devices.
  • Participate in rapid response, trauma activations, code blue, stroke, and STEMI protocols as required.
  • Coordinate patient care including diagnostic testing, re-evaluation, disposition planning, and patient education; document all assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, EMS personnel, and other healthcare team members in a high-volume, 36-bed Emergency Department.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma or valid compact license.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Current ACLS certification required.
  • Current PALS certification required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • TNCC and/or ENPC certifications preferred.
  • Prior experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, or other high-acuity clinical settings.
  • Competency in trauma care, cardiac care, and stabilization of critically ill patients.
  • Strong critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and the ability to remain calm and focused during high-stress situations.
