Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KS or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ED experience.

Details

  • Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
  • Higher volume of behavioral health patients
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30

Requirements

  • Active KS or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
  • Current PALS certification (AHA) required
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing protocols in the Emergency Department
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, and communicate patient condition changes
  • Coordinate care across disciplines and assist with discharge planning
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and timely
  • Requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Ceil blue scrubs required per unit dress code
  • TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI/MOAB High-Risk training may be required or completed during orientation
  • Radius rules apply and may affect pay rate for local candidates
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
