Unit Information Location: Houston, TX Number of Beds: 50 Trauma Designation: Level II, Comprehensive Stroke Center (survey pending), Chest Pain Center Patient Ratios: 4:1 Staff Structure Day Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 10 RNs, 1 LVN, 2 Paramedics, 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCT), 4 Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) Night Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 10 RNs, 1 LVN, 2 Paramedics, 2 PCT, 4 BHT Typical Procedures The following procedures are routinely performed in this unit: Trauma care Emergency department procedures Qualifications Required Skills: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Preferred Skills: Trauma experience Experience with Meditech EMR Personality Fit The ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude, capable of thriving in a collaborative environment.
