Join a leading acute-care hospital as an ER Registered Nurse in Charlotte, NC. This contract position in the Emergency Department (ER) offers an exciting opportunity for skilled professionals looking to make a difference in patient care.

Minimum Experience Required: 2 years of experience in a similar role. The unit will accept first-time travelers and locals with a rate difference.

Required Skills and Certifications:

• IV Start
• Triage
• Telemetry
• Conscious Sedation
• Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, BLS, and PALS

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

• ENPC
• Trauma experience

Job Details:

• Ratios: Non-Critical: 3:1 (4:1 with hallway when callouts occur); Critical patients: 2:1; Medical boarders in ED: 5:1
• Shift: 12-hour mids from 11:00 - 23:00
• Call Requirement: No call
• Float Requirement: No float
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
• Patient Diagnoses: Adult patients, STEMI, Stroke, Level 2 trauma patients (approximately 170 visits per day, 53 rooms/beds)
• Unit Systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
• Orientation: 36 or 48 hours
• Scrubs: Not provided; Navy blue

Additional Notes: Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty. No block scheduling is allowed. 48-hour contracts will be offered.
