Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2 years of ED experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

  • 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and Acute Mental Health area
  • All-ages patient population with a daily census of approximately 230 visits
  • Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
  • Uses EPIC (ASAP module) for charting
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30 with every-other-weekend requirement
  • Floating required to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and AMU (ED Psych OBs)
  • Occasional Day Rotate shifts (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) may be requested at low frequency; night position itself does not rotate

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience required
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred
  • Skilled in ED nursing tasks including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, and patient education
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions accepted

  • Provide direct patient care across a high-acuity, high-volume Emergency Department setting
  • Free on-site parking available for staff
  • Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston may be considered at a reduced rate
  • RTO must be identified prior to consideration for the role
