Travel to Salem, Massachusetts for a rewarding Emergency Department Registered Nurse opportunity on the North Shore. This 13-week travel RN assignment offers night shifts in a fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Department with a dedicated pediatric pod and separate acute mental health area.

• Location: Salem, MA 01970 — historic coastal community on the North Shore with easy access to the greater Boston area
• Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Shift: 12-hour nights

• Setting: Busy, pod-based Emergency Department with 65 beds and approximately 230 visits per day

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the appropriate state
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC strongly preferred
• Strong skills in assessment, documentation, IV starts, phlebotomy, EKG interpretation, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
• Ability to think critically and provide patient education in a high-acuity emergency care environment
• Experience using EPIC/ASAP charting preferred
• Comfortable caring for patients across all age groups
• Reliable, adaptable team player with excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
• Perform IV access, phlebotomy, EKGs, cardiac monitoring, and point-of-care testing
• Support triage, documentation, and patient education throughout the care process
• Apply critical thinking to prioritize care and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, efficient patient flow
• Provide care for pediatric, adult, and mental health patient populations as needed
• Assist with splinting and other common emergency nursing interventions
• Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1:4 while delivering safe and effective care
