Registered Nurse II - Tele Float Pool (MedSurg/CV/Neuro)

Job Summary

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse II for a Telemetry Float Pool specializing in Medical-Surgical, Cardiovascular, and Neuro care. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in various units, including telemetry and medical-surgical settings. The candidate must be able to titrate cardiac drips and display strong clinical judgment in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Float between all Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units, including ICU and Cardiac Tele.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care and support to patients with various conditions.
• Administer and titrate medications, including cardiac drips as required.
• Interpret EKGs accurately and respond to patient needs promptly.
• Maintain clear communication with healthcare teams and participate in patient care planning.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and hospital policies.
• Participate in ongoing education and training, including passing a dysrhythmia exam and a simulated lab assessment during orientation.

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry or medical-surgical environment.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS.
• Ability to float between units and adapt to different clinical settings.
• Must be available to work 4 weekends per schedule and 2 of 3 major holidays.

Unit Information

The role will involve floating to various units, including:

• CV Tele B3A: 32 beds; focus on post-cath lab, CABG, and general telemetry patients.
• A3 Neuro: 28 beds; specializes in neuro post-surgical care and stroke patients.
• MedSurg C5: 32 beds; includes orthopedic, surgical, and oncology patients.
• MedSurg B2C: 29 beds; general medical-surgical patients who require telemetry.

Additional Notes

• Floating is required across all related units and patient care areas.
• Orientation includes 2 days of floor-specific training.
• Location: Chandler, AZ and Gilbert, AZ
