Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position caring for ED boarder patients, requiring a compact or MD RN license and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

Work in the MS/Tele unit caring for ED boarder patients in the ED or ASU area
Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
Float to MS/Tele units as needed
Cerner charting experience preferred

Requirements

Active compact RN license or MD RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, NIHSS certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience within the last 7 years required
Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms

Additional Information

Provide nursing care for ED boarder patients in the ED and ASU areas
Flu vaccine required for all employees at this facility
Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
RTO limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
