Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN ECMO Specialist requiring 2+ years of Cardiohelp experience and a NE or compact RN license.

Details

  • ECMO Specialist role serving as a pump specialist for cardiac and non-cardiac patients on VA or VV ECMO
  • When no ECMO patients are present, works as a bedside nurse in NICU, PICU, or CVPICU based on unit needs
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
  • 1:2 patient ratio
  • Float requirement to NICU, PICU, and CVPICU
  • Required to work every 3rd weekend

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NE or Compact) required
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Cardiohelp experience required
  • Experience managing both VA and VV ECMO patients required
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • Previous charge experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Serves as a pump specialist managing ECMO circuits for cardiac and non-cardiac patients
  • Provides bedside critical care nursing in NICU, PICU, or CVPICU when not actively managing ECMO patients
  • Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
  • Former permanent employees of the facility are not accepted as travelers
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
