Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of pediatric sonography experience and ECMO procedure knowledge to serve NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU patients.

Details

• Work across 4 scanners performing echocardiographic studies spanning fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography
• Cover NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU units
• Assist with bedside ECMO weans and catheter placement
• Uses Philips ultrasound equipment
• EMR/PACS systems include Epic and PACS Fuji CV Synapse
• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM shift schedule
• No weekend expectations
• No on-call requirements
• Closed on major holidays

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography
• Current BLS and ARDMS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred
• Experience with fetal echo encouraged
• Adult echo experience a plus
• Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease required
• Experience with ECMO procedures required

Additional Information

• Perform echocardiographic studies across the full spectrum of fetal, pediatric, and adult congenital heart disease
• Recognize and triage emergent situations
• Provide written communication to cardiologists
• Maintain equipment and complete logging and billing of procedures
• 1-2 week facility orientation provided
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
