License: Must hold a valid state Occupational Therapy license. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Must-Have: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. Description: This position covers home health services in designated counties. The focus is on treating adults, specifically geriatric patients. Common diagnoses include post-stroke, post-joint replacement, weakness, deconditioning, COPD, and CHF. Occupational Therapists will work closely with RN and PT interdisciplinary teams. There will be a morning team huddle via phone every day. The expected caseload is approximately 6 patients per day. Evaluation visits are typically 1.5 hours, while standard visits are 1 hour. Candidates must possess general Occupational Therapy treatment and evaluation skills with an emphasis on activities of daily living and adaptive equipment. Use of electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred. The role may require travel to various patient homes within the designated areas. Schedule will consist of Monday through Friday with no weekend or holiday work expected. Business casual or any color scrubs are acceptable.
