The shift is from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM with rotating weekends. The unit contains 272 beds and has a team of 4 staff including cardiac sonographers. The patient ratio is 1:1. The equipment used includes GE E95 and Philips Epiq, along with Meditech and CCW for EMR. Typical procedures performed include adult echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, bubble studies, and Definity contrast studies. Structured reporting on all procedures is required. The ideal candidate is flexible, a great team player, and patient-focused. All staff are required to wear black or hospital-provided scrubs.
