    Key Responsibilities
    • Counsel inpatients, outpatients, and their families in medical nutrition therapy and adapt diet plans to meet individual needs.
    • Develop and implement nutrition care plans based on screening and assessment of nutritional needs.
    • Monitor calorie and protein intake, recommend additional or alternative nutritional support routines, and write tube feeding orders following accepted guidelines.
    • Evaluate and apply information on nutritional supplements, indications for use, and product composition.
    • Document nutrition assessments, interventions, education, and follow-up in the medical record using International Dietetics and Nutrition Terminology (IDNT) and the nutrition care process.
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of 2 years of Dietitian experience required.
    • Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD).
    • Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility location; local candidates will not be considered.
    • Current skills checklist pertinent to the specialty, dated within the last year, required.
    • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Travel healthcare experience highly preferred.
    • Familiarity with Epic EMR.
    • Experience in a hospital or rural medicine setting.
