Clinical Dietitian – Nutrition (Contract)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Conduct nutrition-focused physical exams and manage an average patient workload of 10–15 patients per day across the facility
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team including physicians, nurses, speech-language pathologists, diabetes educators, and case managers to deliver comprehensive nutritional care
Utilize order-writing privileges to add oral supplements, downgrade diets, and modify enteral nutrition orders following initial physician orders
Support nutrition consults reflexed from wound care consultations as part of a recognized best practice initiative
Communicate nutrition recommendations to providers and care team members using a mobile communication application to facilitate timely implementation
Provide flexible coverage for patients throughout the facility, including supporting the NICU dietitian as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required
Active Licensed Dietitian (LD) licensure in the state of Texas required
Minimum of 1 year of clinical dietitian experience
Critical care experience with adult and geriatric populations is required
Proficiency or ability to quickly learn Meditech EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
NICU dietitian experience to assist in supporting neonatal nutrition coverage
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple healthcare disciplines in a fast-paced inpatient environment
Experience working in a large inpatient facility (350+ beds)
